Trident first announced it would be building the Iceni sports car back in 2012. Unlike most small British sports car companies who announce such things Trident claims to have kept its promise and the Iceni is now on sale and ready for delivery.

The Iceni will cost £96,000 and is powered by a 6.6 litre turbo diesel V8, mated to a 6-spew automatic gearbox. The engine produces 395bhp and a mahoosive 700lb ft of torque which propels the car to 60mph in 3.7 seconds.
Trident's big claim is that the Iceni will return 69mpg at a steady 70mph and can cover 2,000 miles on a single tank of fuel, and that the car's top speed is 190mph.
As well as the Iceni Trident are also launching the Iceni Magna (fastback) and Venturer (shooting brake).
The base price of £96k includes such luxuries as aircon, heated leather seats and a DAB/Bluetooth sound system. Buyers can spec further packages which include Lux, Performance, Track and Premium.
