The BMW i3 and i8 configurators are on-line

BMW has launched configurators for both the i3 and i8 electric/hybrid cars.  The bad news is they've stuck to a rather sombre colour palette, with various whites, blacks and greys.  The good news is each car has a standout colour, and you can share your configuration with others.

Here's the i8 in Protonic Blue with light alloy turbine wheels and a Carpo Amido (black) interior.  It looks rather fetching, although it's still got a Porsche 911 stuck in its butt.  Here's my configuration.

Here's the i3 in Solar Orange with light alloy double spoke wheels with Suite interior.  Look how skinny the tyres are.
