These riders aren't superstars, although they have every right to be. Most competitors buy their own bike and most take no wages from racing. The top names are revered only in limited circles and largely ignored by the wider media, in favour of 'celebrities' and footballers. Yet TT racers are competing in the world's most dangerous race.
