2013 Audi R8 plus - First Pictures

Audi is updating it's R8.  Audi talk about numerous changes to the R8 including a new 7 speed S tronic gearbox and LED lights as standard on all models.  Having said that most changes appear to be internal and technical.  The only external differences appear to be with the fins and lights.  The metal work is unchanged.

The car still comes with both the 4.2 litre V8 and the 5.2 litre V10 pumping out 430bhp and 525bhp respectively.  As well as the standard R8s customers can now order the snappily titled, and intentionally lower cased, R8 V10 plus.

Oh those crazy Germans.  TVR gave us the Chimaera and the Tuscan.  Audi give us the 'plus'.

The plus is only available as a coupe and comes with the V10 but pushes out 550bhp.  With the new 7 speed gearbox it can do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

Prices range from €113,500 for the base model V8 coupe up to €173,200 for the plus.  Orders are being taken now and first deliveries are expected late 2012.

The blue car in the photos is the plus.
